I just my acceptance letter to Bazaart, The American Visionary Art Museum's holiday show! Mark your calendars now! This show should not be missed! November 24th 10a-5p.
Also! Tomorrow, we'll be down at the Ballston Art's Market in Arlington, VA for the August edition. Come by, say hi, and fill your Fort Cloudy sweet tooth! The Ninja Fetus will be around for pictures and blogging fun! Hope to see you there!
Yay, Baltimore!
This weekend in Baltimore the Charm City Craft Mafia is putting on Pile of Craft, an alternative craft show, June 23rd from 10a-5p (St. Paul and 27th). We've been looking into every media outlet possible to help promote this show. We're all really stoked about it! This morning a bunch of us met with the local Fox 45 morning news for 3 quick demo slots, aired LIVE this morning. Fort Cloudy got one of those slots and quickly went over the process for appliquéing a scarf! It was really rad and we were told we did very well! How exciting is that?! Hopefully after the 3rd we will be getting a copy of the segments and posting it on YouTube. So keep posted!!
Come out for 2 fun HON filled days! This Saturday and Sunday June 9th and 10th! While you're there be sure to check out the Fort Cloudy booth and pick up some great handmade gear! The Ninja Fetus will also be around, so come s have your picture taken and join in on one of his adventures!

I'm trying to organize a little get together of Etsy folks in Baltimore.

plans: May 12th is the Squidfire Spring Art Mart in Mount Vernon
Square, from 11a - 7p. Since a few of us are vending, and people from
farther away will already be in Baltimore, we are planning to either
meet at the show and head out once we've finished clean up or meet at
BOP (Brick Oven Pizza - on Broadway in Fells Point) around 8.
If you'd like to join us, we'd LOVE to meet you! Please convo me and let me know if you can make it (and where you'll meet us) so I have a good idea of how many people will be joining us.
If you can't make if out for pizza and beer, you should definitely come out for the Art Mart. It is going to be FANTASTIC!

There's a podcast out done by Kasofa. He came out to the BIG ART SHOW Brooklyn #12 back in January and interviewed a bunch of the artists. He came over and said hi to us, so check out his podcast! You can watch it on the Kasofa MySpace or subscribe on iTunes!

We were also invited to stay on for another rotation at the Curiosity Shoppe in Philadelphia! So, if you find yourself down on South St be sure to stop in.

One week and counting till the BIG ART SHOW Tour! There is still room to sign up for BIG Art Show events. If we are coming to your city, I highly suggest that you sign up and come out! If you'd like to see a big picture of this map, click here, to go to our flickr. We really need help spread the word about this tour, please help out if you can. Go to the BIG ART SHOW website for more information, or to register. If even you don't want to show, please come out, bring your friends, and spread the love!
So, the BIG ART SHOW Tour is only a few weeks away (March 3rd-18th)! I've been checking the website everyday, multiple times a day, to see if more stops are added, and there are! Right now, there are 10 shows total. Including, Baltimore, Richmond, DC, Greenville and Wilmington, NC, Knoxville, Houston, Austin, and Denton, TX! Check out the Fort Cloudy Myspace for the full list of dates or the BIG ART SHOW website for dates still available to sign up.
Before we leave, I'm looking for some good music and book suggestions. So, please, let me know what to check out!
