Friday night, I decided to take a little trip down to Washington, DC to meet Rania Hassan (Shoofly on Etsy) and Sean Hennessey (Scenicartisans on Etsy) and check out Artomatic.
The event was awesome! More art in one place than, I think, I've ever seen before. Each artist was given a separate, or group of artists, was given a room to decorate and display their work. They held it on 2 floors of an office building which, Sean said, were about to be gutted, so they gave the artists free reign as far as painting walls, hanging new lights, cutting holes in the walls. I really liked the individualism of each setup.
I highly recommend that you check out this event if you live in there area. It'll be up until May 20th, so you have no excuse not to!

There's a podcast out done by Kasofa. He came out to the BIG ART SHOW Brooklyn #12 back in January and interviewed a bunch of the artists. He came over and said hi to us, so check out his podcast! You can watch it on the Kasofa MySpace or subscribe on iTunes!
